INTRODUCTION

This blog is for the purposes of chronicling an internet wrestling promotion using simulated matches via the Pro Wrestling Superstar computer wrestling simulation software program. This imaginary wrestling promotion is a local promotion running the area of the Blue River in the Kansas City, Missouri metropolitan area. I will begin the promotion in the year 1979. Cards are run weekly. A 1-hour television program called Blue River Wrestling is broadcast early Saturday afternoons on VHF channel 9 KMBC-TV. The TV program consists of preliminary matches from the previous week's house show. The championships for the promotion will initially be the Mid-American Heavyweight Title, the Mid-American Tag Team Title, and the Blue River Wrestling Beat-The-Champ TV Title. The Beat-The Champ Title is awarded initially based upon a $5000 Battle Royal, then the champion defends the title each week on television and wins $1000 for each successful defense. 5 successful title defenses will result in an additional cash bonus of $5000 and retiring as the champ, to be followed by another battle royal to determine a new champ, and so on. The Beat The Champ TV Title can change hands on a countout or disqualification, the other titles cannot. Later, a Mid-American Six-Man Tag Team Title will be initiated as well.
